Actus Reus
The Club’s mandate shall be to put on a theatre production by students for students and their friends and family. This mandate shall be carried out by organising play(s) or theatrical production(s), to be selected by members of the Club.

Black Law Students' Association
Inspired by the legal academic movements Critical Race Theory, Feminist Legal Theory and Critical Race Feminism, as well as the social and intellectual movements for Black liberation, BLSAM serves as a critical resource to the law school community. Its mission is to promote the inclusion of Black and racialized students in the Faculty by centering the values of diversity, empowerment, leadership and education.
Canadian Hispanic Bar Association — McGill
Promote the engagement of Latin American students inside the McGill University Faculty of Law, act a resource for Latin American students outside of the Faculty interested in law, and build connections with Latin American legal professionals. The Club also aims to celebrate the commonalities and differences among Latin American cultures.
Christian Law Students’ Association

Hellenic Law Students' Association
Dedicated to promoting career opportunities for law students of Hellenic background at McGill law by provide them networking opportunities. The HLSA also serves as a vehicle for the promotion of all aspects of Hellenistic culture.
Indigenous Law Students’ Association
Advocates for greater awareness of Indigenous living legal traditions as well as issues underpinning relationships on Turtle Island, in particular the dynamics of the settler-colonial state. ILADA also helps law students to gain valuable insights into the practice of Aboriginal law.
Innocence McGill
Legal clinic based dedicated to researching and investigating claims of wrongful conviction for serious crimes in Quebec. Founded in 2005, we are a student-led and student-run organization with oversight by our supervising lawyer (a criminal defence attorney in Montreal) and our Faculty Advisor.
Inter Gentes Journal
Inter Gentes responds to a worldwide demand to rethink international law in an inclusive, collective and incisive way. As our title suggests, the law between states is changing into a law among peoples with plural and complex sources of normativity. Inter Gentes contributes to this exchange by serving as a forum for the informed, plural, and collective redefinition of the law between peoples.
International Refugee Assistance Project - McGill Chapter
The International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP) is a global legal aid and advocacy organization working to create a world where refugeesand all people seeking safety are empowered to claim their right to freedom of movement and a path to lasting refuge. Jewish Law Students’ Association
Dedicated to promoting and supporting Jewish life at McGill University’s Faculty of Law. To that end, the JLSA-AÉJD organises social, cultural, religious, and educational activities promoting Jewish life on campus, and engaging with issues of interest to its members.
Kenya-Canada Remote Legal Aid Clinic
Provide students with an opportunity to turn their legal knowledge of Common Law into action, introduce them to the practical work of a legal aid lawyer and build an international network with the next generation of lawyers.
Law and Political Economy McGill
LPE McGill is part of a broader LPE movement that takes a critical approach to analyzing the law’s role in structuring the political economy. In our inaugural year, our chapter aims to explore the shape and potential of LPE scholarship in the Canadian context through events series, collaborative research, and discussion groups.
McGill Arbitration Student Society
Founded in 2010, the Society aims at promoting an interest in, and a better understanding of, alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, including arbitration and mediation, that are gaining popularity in the private and public sector around the world. We offer members the opportunity to learn about important current functions and emerging trends in the field of International Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution.
McGill Art Law Association
Enable and support the exploration of how art and law interact. The Club defines art broadly to encompass fine art, digital art, music, dance, fashion and other forms of artistic expression. We Host at least two events per year including panels, interviews and social events with professionals, academics, experts or others affiliated with the field of art law, notably an interdisciplinary networking event.
McGill Asian Law Students' Association
Created in 2021 as a collaboration between the McGill Desi Law Student Association and the McGill East Asia Law Students’ Association, exists to create a community hub for pan-Asian students at the faculty. McGill Journal of Dispute Resolution
Bilingual, peer-reviewed, student-run academic journal dedicated to the presentation and promotion of high quality scholarship in the fields of arbitration, mediation, facilitation, negotiation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. The Journal’s mandate is to promote discourse and the exchange of ideas between prominent scholars, practitioners, law students and the public at large.
McGill Journal of Law & Health
Features literature from renowned academics and practitioners on current issues of law and policy relating to health. Publishing annually since 2007 on topics ranging from medical practice and technology, to intellectual property and medical ethics, the MJLH is a bilingual, student-run venture.
McGill Labour and Employment Law Club
Promote the practice and study of everything related to labour and employment law. This mandate shall be carried out by facilitating events, workshops and simulations which allow students to discover the field of labour and employment & by collaborating with professors, lecturers and practitioners to inform students about courses, seminars, career paths and other opportunities to pursue this practice area.

McGill Law Negotiation Club
Provide McGill Law students with learning opportunities oriented at developing their negotiation skills in a legal context, provide networking opportunities within the field of legal negotiations and provide opportunities to practice competing in negotiation competitions.
McGill Law Sports Club
Oversees sports at McGill’s Faculty of Law; promote and facilitate McGill Law students’ participation and engagement in sports teams and events.
McGill Law Volleyball Society
Provide opportunities to practice volleyball at the faculty in a way that promotes sportsmanship and teamwork.
McGill OutLaw
OutLaw organizes and participates in a number of events throughout the year. We invite speakers, submit articles, fundraise for local queer services, and engage in research, advocacy and activism on queer legal issues. We also work with the McGill Administration on issues important to queer students and send representatives to a variety of University committees.
McGill Runnymede Society
The Runnymede Society seeks to foster intellectual diversity and rigorous interrogation in Canadian law schools on issues relating to our core principles. We aim to provide support and opportunities for intellectual enrichment, networking, and professional development.

Muslim Law Students’ Association

North African Law Students’ Association

Old Chancellor Football Club
The Club’s mandate shall be to provide students at McGill’s Faculty of Law with a soccer team or teams to compete at McGill University soccer competitions & events.
Pro Bono Students Canada - McGill Chapter
Provide free legal support to people & communities facing barriers to justice. We engage law students annually to provide free legal information &services in partnership with community organizations and supervising lawyers. We also cultivate future leaders and advocate through recruiting, training, and mentoring with a focus on experiential learning opportunities.
RadLaw
Supports social movements and oppressed people's struggles for justice, supporting forms of resistance that are not limited to advocacy and litigation nor confined to human rights discourse. We embrace an anti-authoritarian organizational philosophy based on decentralization and autonomy.
Rooted
A conscious attempt to create space for Indigenous legalities, knowledge, and perspectives. Our contributors – academics, activists, artists, and leaders – offer insight into Indigenous ways of seeing and knowing beyond the dominant liberal paradigm. Their perspectives breathe new life into how we, as a collective, engage with Indigenous legal orders. The project is in part a response to a call that several Indigenous scholars have issued: to take Indigenous constitutional orders seriously.
South Asian Law Students' Association
Support the professional, cultural, political, and social needs of South Asian and other minority law students. Dedicated to confronting stereotypes and the unique obstacles that have impacted South Asian Canadians, and to cultivate a dialogue to recognize these limitations and further strengthen the South Asian law community.
Tech Law McGill
We aim to bring critical internet and technology issues to the community, and facilitate discussion and debate through guest lectures and panels, workshops, and networking events. We encourage students with interests in technology law issues, including but not limited to(emerging) technology, intellectual property, communications and media, privacy law, biotechnology, data security, artificial intelligence and robotics to become a member and join us throughout the year for events.
The McGill Journal of Sustainable Development Law
Provides a forum in which the world’s leading scholars exchange ideas on the intersection between law, development, the environment, economics, and society. In response to a void in sustainability discussions in Canada, the MJSDL was established in 2004. It is a student-run, peer-reviewed academic journal.

The Quid Novi
Quid Novi est le journal hebdomadaire de la Faculté. Différent des autres journaux, il appartient entièrement aux étudiant(e)s de droit. It is a place where we can discuss ideas that might not otherwise be featured in classroom discussion, where we can bring the world into the Faculty or demonstrate how what we’ve learned in the Faculty can impact the world.
Wallenberg Advocacy Group
An opportunity to engage in ethically responsible advocacy for political prisoners and gain practical experience in international human rights law. Committed to seeking the release and better treatment of political prisoners, and amplifying their causes, which are emblematic of broader human rights movements in their home countries.
Women of Colour Collective
Provides a supportive space for women from racialized backgrounds, Indigenous women, and trans people of color at the Faculty. By providing cultural, social, professional, educational, and community service programs, the WOCC advances the needs of women and trans people of colour, thereby enriching the educational experience at McGill Law.
